Network Solutions is NOT the only Option (a little history):
Things changed in 1999 with the introduction of competition at the registrar level in the .com/.net/.org namespace and with it the advent of the SRS (Shared Registry System). ICANN (The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) succeeded the IANA and began accrediting other registrars. After holding out and refusing to sign the ICANN registrar accreditation agreement for a long period, Network Solutions finally did so and now competes with other registrars. The monopoly has ended and that is a good thing for all consumers.

Domain Name Registration

Rogue Web Works provides domain name registration services to our customers. You can register new domain names or transfer existing domains away from a current registrar (like Network Solutions). When registering new domains, Rogue Web Works will be the initial Technical Contact and you are the Administrative Contact. Is is very important that you use an email address you plan to keep so you will receive renewal notices.

During the registration process, you will be given the option to purchase a variety of Web Hosting services for your new domain name. You will also be prompted to register the domain for a a period of 1-10 years. We recommend a minimum of three years for convenience. If you are not sure if you need specific services, you can return to the order page any time and order new services.
